Few weeks ago I ve been watching a really interesting program concerning names. It claimed that the name influences a person in a great extent. To prove that there was made an experiment. Few thousands of people took part. It appeared that person with the same name have more or less the same job, more or less the same features of character. There was even an employer who is hiring from now on only those people whose name suits the job he proposes.
It seems that ancient people knew about this influence, because in many countries parents gave their child very ugly name or in some cases even two names to confuse an evil spirits that may harm a child. Then when child became an adult he could choose the name he liked. In the beginning of the century one american woman registered at least 8 names for her daughter, because she didn t know what name the girl would like.
Along with this there was one more interesting experiment. A doctor was saying to a girl her name 30 times during few minutes. According to the computer data during that time the part of the brain which is responsible fo creativity and imagination has become active. In the same time if you change name to some other it makes active the part off the brain which is responsible for the transformation and understanding of regular words.
In the end there were few advices. First of all, it is better not to call children the same name their parents have. It makes children stubborn and selfish. Besides, I have to disappoint all those people who would like to give some exotic name to their child as according to the statistic people with unusual names live less and have more problems in everyday life.
So, probably, it is better to think properly about the name you have. Because you want it or not it in fluences you))) And when you meet new person try listen carefully to hear his name, because it may tell you much more about its owner than he by himself)))
