Spring Update…

Hi all.

Well judging by the last couple of warm day, spring looks like its finally here!! Personally I hate winter and would love it if we could have 12 months of summer….but then again that would make life rather boring eh?!

Whats been happening lately. Well finally got my act together and have started organising a few things for the 4 months “on the road” Ill be spending. Its great when you`ve been saving for many months and finally have something to look forward to (hotels, flights etc etc). Although travelling for 4 months will mean living relatively cheaply, it`ll be nice not working for a while. Finally have the rugby world cup plans sorted (flights, hostels, hotels etc) as Im sure the sooner it gets to the tournament, the more booked out things will become). Hopefully the All Blacks can finally get their hands on that cup that has eluded them!

Have hit a bit of a “bump in the road” though, as I applied for my UK working holiday visa last week, however got a nasty call today telling me that I has applied too early (not within 3 months) and that they would send me my passport, application etc back in the post. Fantastic!!!! Now Im not quite sure what I will do as I will be leaving Japan just before that three month period, not leaving enough time for the visa to be processed. On top of that the lady informed me that they are also increasing their fees up to 200 pounds/47,000yen!!! So some serious thinking time to be had now. Hopefully everything will work out eventually.

At the moment t he cricket world cup is also on at the moment (finally found somewhere on the internet to watch some of the games). The New Zealand “Blackcaps” have so far won all their games (against England and the minnows Kenya and Canada) and now go through to the Super Eight stage and then hopefully on to the semi finals. The kiwis have yet to win the tournament so far (due to some close results going against them in the last 4 world cups), so hopefully they can finally make history and go all the way this year!

Thats about it everyone.

Until next time….

Haydz

P.S Go The Crusaders!!!

yeay winter is over!!

g’day!!! this week was like usual beside the weather is getting warmer n a special wednesday when i went to Kyoto to visit the lights festival. I went to visit one of the temple (forgot the name though ;p) where u can visit n see the garden. Hontoni Kirei datta!!! I wish i could have a a house n a garden like in the future. All the areas that were lit up with small lamps on the street was really beautiful, that trip was a great break from the hectic life surrounded by buildings in Osaka.

lets go to work

Today was strangely hot. A warm breeze blew in, with the fragrance of spring in the air. A new beginning, a chance for rebirth. That’s the feeling I had anyway, when I took the train out here to Ibaraki, a place people only come to if they live here, or if they’re lost. But I’m here for work. I’ve made quite a habit of doing the backwards commute recently. In my last job I travelled one and a half hours out of the city into the countryside.
I’m 29 years old and I’ve never worked in a bar before. I think that’s quite rare isn’t it? So at the moment I’m trying to work out what to do with myself. any ideas?

I’ve got plenty of experience at washing glasses and dishes though. I’m the dishwash king. I’ve had my hands in more sinks than is normal.
